The Sacred Heart Cathedral School Campus Expansion Master Plan is a long-term vision for growth that strengthens the connection between the school, Cathedral, and surrounding East Hill neighborhood. The plan introduces new academic, athletic, and administrative facilities organized around a network of courtyards, greenspaces, and gathering areas that support learning, recreation, and community life.
A central goal of the master plan is to enhance the public realm and create a safer, more walkable campus district. New sidewalks, decorative street lighting, enhanced crosswalks, traffic-calming measures, and live oak street trees improve pedestrian safety and connectivity while creating a more attractive neighborhood environment. Reconfigured circulation and parking improve traffic flow during school and church activities, while new building facades help define the street edge and establish a stronger architectural presence along 12th Avenue.
By combining thoughtful campus planning with significant streetscape and infrastructure improvements, the master plan not only supports the future needs of Sacred Heart Cathedral School but also creates lasting benefits for the broader East Hill community.
